What are Valcambi Combibars?

Valcambi & Cambi was established in 1961 and became a subsidiary of the Swiss company Credit Suisse in 1967.

The Valcambi Gold CombiBar (a 1000-gram gold bar) was designed by Valcambi in 1967 after it became the first accredited refinery to produce such a large gold bar. A bar from this period is mostly found in Italy, and it’s very rare. Sometimes they are called VALCAMBI.

The EGR was founded in 2003 as a combination of the Swiss Valcambi and the Colorado-based Newmont Mining Corporation. Since then, new official stamps have started to be put on coins from Valcambi.

The new CombiBar was introduced in April. It is a gold bar that is made of 50 smaller bars. Each bar can be taken off and sold if you want to sell some of the gold bars. They are of very good quality, and they are easy to break into pieces.

Gold CombiBars are designed to fit into a wallet. They come in a plastic holder with an assay card. This is necessary because they are made of gold which is very soft and could break if not handled properly.

Valcambi Gold CombiBar Physical Characteristics

CombiBar Design

Valcambi has a license to make gold bars in the DIN A8 format. Valcambi also makes 1-gram gold bars that are made of 999.9 fineness and have Valcambi’s logo on them plus the company’s name, which is “Valcambi.”

Near the base of each individual Gold CombiBar, there is a rectangular box that says “CHI ESSAYEUR FONDEUR.” This is French for “assayer founder.” This is the official stamp of our refinery. It’s a guarantee that each chocolate bar is made with quality ingredients. The words are in French because Switzerland does not have an official dialect.

The back of the 50-gram bar traits the diamond-shaped Valcambi logo and the words Valcambi Suisse, 50 g fine gold, and 999.9. Digits are written on both sides of the bar.

If you buy a Valcambi CombiBar, you can customize it according to your tastes. These changes can be made to “Client’s obverse and reverse design wishes, provided that the presence of compulsory marks is ensured and the design respects the rules of Swiss customs in regard to Value Added Tax,” according to the company website.

Specifications

The 50-gram bar was made to be able to fit in a credit card. It is 74 mm wide, 52.5 mm tall, and 0.85 mm thick when it is still whole. When you break it into pieces, the Valcambi Gold CombiBar weighs 1.607 ounces each time.

All Combibars are .9999 fine gold. This means that 99.99% of the metal is gold.

Valcambi Gold CombiBar Pricing

Bullion coins are not used as legal tender. Gold bars can be an alternative to gold coins. The Valcambi Gold CombiBars were meant for people who wanted larger pieces of gold, but they were not legal tender like the bullion coins. Gold bars can be expensive. If you want to transport some gold, you can break off up to 50 1-gram bars from one big bar called the CombiBar.

Gold is a good investment. Gold does not lose value when you divide it into smaller pieces, just like diamonds. If the quality stays, the same, 50 1-gram gold pieces are worth as much as one 50-gram gold sheet.

The amount of gold in gold bars is much lower than the amount of gold in coins. This means that the cost for making the bar is usually lower so that when people buy and sell them, their price (value) tends to be very close to what a spot price would be for a coin. Further still, the minting values of one 50-gram Gold CombiBar is less than what it would cost to make five individual 10-gram bars or 50 individual 1-gram bars.

The market fee is used to determine the value of a CombiBar inside of an investment portfolio. The gold prices change daily, so the value of Valcambi Gold CombiBars will also change each day. Most newspapers report the gold prices in major cities, so you can track them easily.

Other Precious Metals Produced by Valcambi

They clarify gold, silver, platinum, and palladium into various forms. This includes casting and minted bars, rounds, coins, and other semi-finished casting products. This company refines more gold than any other company. It does this by sending it to another place called an assay lab. This is where the gold is tested and weighed.

Investing in Valcambi Gold CombiBars Through an IRA

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are a way for people to save money. IRS allows these IRAs that meet specific requirements to carry precious metals bullion as an investment in a portfolio. These are often called “precious metals IRAs.”

Precious metals IRAs are different from other types of IRAs. They cannot have stocks, bonds, or mutual funds in them. They can have gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins or bars.

Valcambi Gold Combibars is a good way to put gold in your IRA. They are one of the countenance bullion for IRA investing. By setting real, physical gold inside of an IRA, Valcambi meets the minimum purity requirements set forth in Internal Revenue Code Section 408.

For an IRA, the owner must make a minimum purchase of $5,000 worth of qualifying bullion in order to establish a precious metal IRA. All future purchases must be at least $1,000. When an investor buys the Gold CombiBars (or any other IRA-approved metal), the IRS requires that all coins and bars are kept in a qualifying “depository.” The place where you store your gold coins and other things are responsible for keeping them safe and cleaning them.

People who already have an IRA can do a transfer or rollover into a precious metals IRA.

Valcambi Gold CombiBars can be bought from dealers around the world or on Valcambi.com. You cannot order custom-designed Gold CombiBars through any other website.
